Re: Blinging my new Max
Funky with regards to the lug repair on the panel i can strongly recommend the 3m product to make a new lug , a 20 quid tube with give you a great and can be used in conjunction with the reinforcing patches that come in the kit . Its set and dry in less than 5 mins ,you can sand it ,paint it whatever you like . The other product i have used for years in fairing panel repair is Q bond which is like a super glue which you can use in conduction with the supplied grey or black powder to stick the crack and fill it as needed and is ok to reattach lugs if you have then .I have also used some of the 2 part kits on ebay from waysides to great effect ,but some others advertised have been crap .

I only have the final part of the lug not the bit in between it and the panel.

The 3m stuff will easily make a new lug if you wish. The one from waysides i have used is flexible and allows for more movement if need be . I have made new push in type body lugs on the likes of cb1000f etc certainly a lot cheaper than new panels.

With the sale of my Shad Comfort seat that bought for £30 shipped and sold for £90 shipped... which wasn't really any more comfortable than the standard seat... I have now purchased a Ermax rear hugger (unpainted) for £66.66 shipped and a R&G Rear Spindle Wrap for £36 shipped
