Would be nice to see you Jed. If you do come along you will have probably travelled the furthest. Unfortunately there is not a prize for this honour. My journey is only 90 mile round trip so will be having a lay in.

Yeah I miscalculated Roger, it's actually 214 miles.
Needless to say I won't be doing a ride-around-the-houses on the way there, or the way back.

Deep respect Capitano - that'll be a 10/11 hour round trip for you then I guess. Similar respect for road runner's 180 miler - don't envy you guys one bit.

Change of plan..we are not leaving until Wednesday so I can come. Problem..I have to meet someone at 9 am and hopefully get away at 10ish...what time will you all be there and more importantly what time will you be leaving?
I was thinking of taking the rover as I have to put another 1000 miles on it asap so that the garage can do a check on the work they've just done to it. I wont take the rover if it's raining [its not the rain that worries me it's the mud] so look out for this pile of crap if it all goes to plan.

We should all be there by 12.00hrs, what a bad bit if parking.
I will set off at 9.15 go through Strood, then onto the new Thames river crossing site, where nothings decided yet, strange that cos their building a massive site hut complex, building fences and probably robbing out any useful archaeology before any surveys of the site are done. Then a should be through Gravesend and McD's at Greenhithe for 10am. City Fly has been prep'd, CB600s is chaffing at the bit and the Deauville is sleeping after its fall.

TMax is as clean as I can be bothered to clean her in winter and its supposed to rain next week.
Temps in this area today are not bad and should be higher tomorrow according to the forecast.

That's a nice Rover Terry - very stately.
I (sort of) washed the Silverwing aka 'The Barge' this morning too. At least I splashed some water and soap over the panels then looked at the wheels etc and thought 'Bollox to that' and went and had a cuppa
