Hi Bern same as any scooter re the silverwing, 2 yoke bike like front forks and an enclosed chain driven proper swinging arm.

I think if they had done that it could have be been a T max beater as so good in other ways.

TBH your best bet is to go buy a 'proper' motorbike bud, no scooter is ever going to meet your expectations, then again I doubt you'll find too many 'proper' motorbikes with an enclosed drive chain these days. If your roads are so bad that a faster reacting suspension setup is needed go find something that appeals to you with leading/trailing link forks or go for the ultimate & get a set of Earles forks

Not necessarily true - the Burgman 650 has a proper swing arm and has a large enough space under the seat to lose a helmet in! I would have thought that a 'proper' engine and swing arm arrangement would give the designer more flexibility to mount the engine and other mechanical bits where they feel best, which might be to maximise luggage space. After all, the engine on the Tmax (the bulkiest thing to find space for, together with the fuel tank) is relatively well forward under your knees, and there there is only the space for the CVT and final drive to find space for under the seat (which are both at the sides anyway) so really, the TMax ought to have huge luggage space under the seat! I guess finding sufficient space for rear wheel travel must be an issue.

Hi Bern yes, you might be right. But I love the Silverwing too much.

I`ll be honest its not quite the best bike I`ve ver had, but its the best bike I`ve ever had !!!!!!!

Also I`ve often wondered why they don`t enclose the chains, and drive belts more on bikes, keeps chains going well for ages, and keeps chipping`s and debri etc out of the belt and drive bits.

That's easy bud, a) they don't look cool & b) they wouldn't sell so many replacement chains/belts.

My mate (he's a big lad!) who rides a lovely modern BMW R1200RT eventually had a shot on my new Forza 300 yesterday. His comments were "what a revelation, fantastic, great suspension and so comfortable. Love the screen" He was also surprised by the power for a "300". Personally, I just think that it's a great scooter although I've only ever ridden my PCX and an SH300i as a comparison. I thought that the SH was great too but the Forza will suit me better for touring.
