Here's a picture of a guy's Tmax in Italy that shortened them the same amount as I did...but with a bit LESS engineering, structurally...

Rode it to work and on the way home was enjoying riding it so much took it for a bit of a spin.

Finally got my delivery of new belt, oil and air filter and a new dipstick. Saturday its spanner time!

Fitted my new rear hugger and chain guard and replaced some rusty fasteners .

Well I fitted all the parts at the weekend and rode the bike today. I have no idea whats happened but its like a different bike? Quicker revving and has much more punch. Thing is I MIC'd up the old belt and there was little in it to the new one. Maybe its stiffer and doesnt compress and that affects the gearing? OR maybe the FI has been able to work much, much better with a air filter that is actually flowing air? I really dont know why but its like riding a different bike!
