Thanks to the generosity of Spannerman (Dave) I fitted the missing front indicator mesh to the X9, also following his suggestion I levelled the front forks, which has really helped with the jarring I was getting.

went out for a quick blast, and replaced the air filters and crank case filters, just shy of 6k miles and they were filthy...
the Hiflo ones I got from MSA - great deal - the left hand air filter is a little tight / not an exact fit - may just be an odd one - cover etc screwed on fine.. the others fitted fine - same air boxes etc as the 400 Majesty.

Took the srv in for warranty work today comprising of a new rad and headlight unit .Once the rad was off to inspect i decided to get a fender extender and modify it to fit just to give the rad a better longer life .

Good thinking.
One of the things Iike about the Forza design is that the front mudguard extends right down to the level of the bottom of the fairing.

Agreed. I've lost count of the amount of times I've come across 'stone through radiator/oil cooler/fairing/exhaust, etc...' or '...full of crud...'. Shortsighted 'designers' is putting it politely! My 2008 Citycom forces the water back out in front of the wheel - I call it the Moses effect...

My cbf1000 honda did the same and if sat at a junction too long on a wet day all you had was steam everywhere from all theshit on the rad ,my m8 has a newer one which did just the same so a fender extender cured it .

Nothing today, tomorrow will be a day of stripping panels, replacing filters, oils, sparkplugs, brake pads and likely a few swear words.
