Glad it went well - I'm a bit envious. One day I'll visit Wensleydale again.

Hull-Zeebrugge is a good crossing; we did it last year to visit friends in Manchester (took the car).
It's not cheap and the cabin we had was cosy but had a shower and two bunks which is all we needed.
The food in the Four Seasons restaurant (I think that's what it's called) was fantastic and as it's self-service/buffet-style, one can eat as much as one wants.
Zeebrugge is only 11 miles/25 minutes from the Dutch border (and only 4 hours from Koblenz for great rides down the Moselle Valley). :D

I went on to Glasson Dock as i said, the weather at the dock was unbelievable after the shower just before Lancaster. It was bright sunshine! i was sat there with an ice cream, with a lovely blue sky and warm sun. I usually take pictures on my rides(but always think no-one is interested in them, but me,)However, i took some pictures of Glasson Dock so those that don't know it, see why i visit it regulary. I will attempt to upload these pictures but, don't hold your breath. Rik SU i thought you would have been on the ride,as iam sure you would have joined me as your not far away. On the day of the Southport ride i fancied a longer ride and did 162mls. Southport , for me is about 36mls. :)

We were quite lucky with the weather which just made the ride even better, the ride back to Monor cafe from the Viaduct was great not much traffic and great roads, i only took a few picks but cant wait till the next ride out. :D

Hang on - Who's that Fat Bastard looking at the Classic Bike? Wheres he come from? Obviously a trick of perspective. You need a new camera Mate or a wider angle lens. Ha Ha

Great idea for a run out Gerard. I can't believe the only time it really rained on us was on the way up and back down again thru Leeds. Must be something about Leeds? The roads in the Dales are awesome, going into those corners makes the hair on the back of yer neck stand up ( 'bout all these days :) ) theres a road from Manor Cafe , shown on youtube, goes over Buttertubs Pass to Thwaites - thats gotta be on the list for next time. It was a pleasure meeting some fellow muppets, great turnout. Lets do it all again soon....

I fancy that run over Buttertubs ( love that name) I think I'll go up there one day soon and check it out. Rik Su it was thundering and raining when i left home, as an old biker myself, rain, just doesn't bother me, In any case i said i would be there and i like to keep my word. Maybe next run we'll meet up. :)
