That would be the Insurance Company's offer for the scoot (alone). The compensation for other items will be decided over the coming months or more likely years.

cheers mr grumpy :D in the cold light of day you have to think positive. if funky was going to trade in the tmax through age, mileage etc and possible wear and tear funky would not get the £4500 for his scoot, i doubt.. so trying to look at the good side :D :D to be able to utilize £4500 into the 530cc tmax the for mentioned post.. this is the best price i have seen with added AKARAPOVIC EXHAUST £6199 other ones i have seen have been £7000 used as standard 530cc tmax ...just thought i would mention the scoot

My insurance was renewed in April... there is a chance this could all be sorted before next April, however as it stands if it does extend beyond next year with no fault being decided they have to go with my current rate. I am very willing to go all the way to Court with this if I have to. I definitely put my indicator and myself in a good position to be seen and I was left with no choice but to scrub off as much as I could in the second or two I had to react. The driver just pulled out, with no warning, to the lane I was in. Indicating late, I had no chance to check my right side to continue round myself. Regardless of whether I was taking that exit or the next he would still have caused this accident on a very clearly laid out round about.

That 530 would be tempting

just received my small muvi mount with the tripod screw on it, going to fit this small unit on top of the helmet with 3m pad, tried it on the front of helmet but not too wide a spread, so this will sort out my camera in its waterproof housing to mount onto the tripod, doing this after me hols ready for when i start riding again :D

You'll get your money from the insurance company for the scoot quite quickly. However, the legal compensation claim is different entirely!!! In my experience, the minimum time for a case to be sorted is 6 months, if the other party (or rather party's insurers) admit liability. Otherwise, its 2 years. Huge amounts of patience will be needed. These cases rarely get to court - a dirty deal is usually struck. Get yourself a decent - bike orientated solicitor, you don't have take the one the insurance company suggests - they got the job because they offered to pay the insurance company the most money!! A bike specialist like www,lampkins.co.uk (I've used these people) are a better bet.

Yeah - think positive! Tmax 530! Yeah Baby!!!

It does with the Missus involved... she'll want me to save some money...

I am with Carole Nash and they have their own firm New Law doing the deed for them.

I think thats just for the 'legal eagles', not for following up your claim with cust/services.
