Hi In the absence of a response from Duxford to my emails. What's there feelings about 100 plus Maxi Scoots turning up on the 6th? I decided to call in today as I was passing.

I have made contact with a very nice young man who has promised a discount on entry - details to follow.

I also made contact with the catering company who will be looking into some form of offer to tempt us in.

I also asked about parking. There is a dedicated area for Bikes but as we get closer to the date if I give them approximate numbers they will look to reserving a section.

As I say, a very nice young man. I supposed it helped that I was dressed for a business meeting and, even if I say it myself, looked very grown up and sensible.

100+ scoots is a bit ambitious. Most we had was about 40 on the Rutland rides. Pie and mash maxxed at 17.

It's not quantity but quality that counts, any discount for over 65's and are wheel chairs provided when we get there.

If anyone's thinking of getting a puncture, please bring your own repair kit this time.
