I was up in Clitheroe & Accrington yesterday(Friday)it started snowing on the M6 as went through Stafford & Stoke 5am,lasted about an hour, thin covering of snow when i got to My deliveries, but all the roads were ok.I was a bit worried about todays breakfast meet, but all was well, dry, but cold,i have all the thermal gear and my Hien Gericke trousers & Frank Thomas jacket are extremely warm, four of us ventured to the meet, breakfast was good, bit more time talking, then a nice bimble home via some nice country lanes which were dry,but a bit debris strewn.....

Re: Saturday Breakfast
About another 3" of snow over night here, been out to feed the birds again and clear a path to get to a dry spot to put stuff down..Mrs Thrush and a Robin at my feet and made it hard to move with out stepping on one of them
Still at it so i will have to keep my clear patch clear for bird feeding.

Re: Saturday Breakfast
1630 i went out to Pat's car with a ruler, pushed it into the snow on the roof until it hit roof...10 1/4 inch thick.
We have about 7" on the garden were the wind does not blow.. be a bugger when it warms up
went to the shed to
make some spacers for a mate, too cold to handle steel so i made them out of Delrin instead
took a bit of getting
used to turning the lathe wheels with gloves on..

Very similar here Lyn, 10 1/2" on Sue's car roof, went to 'playpen', ignored lathe, but played with hydraulic wood splitter

Re: Saturday Breakfast
Good to meet up with you all this morning and sorry to hear that Stephen could not make it, due to a problem with the Burgman. Thanks to Martin (Poldark) for leading the ride out through parts of Hertfordshire and only sorry I had to depart early at Hertford, to get back home for one of my grandchildrens birthday party.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery but today is a gift!
