My brother is at the California Department of Motor Vehicles right now, getting the inspection and registration post-importation to the US. California might end up being the tougher of the two..

If all goes well, he'll order his personalized Plate "Tmax530" and then tomorrow we strip all the CRAP off it! Chop down the rear fender, replace the hideous YELLOW North American front winkers with the clear ones that THE ENTIRE WORLD uses, toss all the added-on useless reflectors and fit his Tourmaster saddlebags to his GIVI side mounts.

Stay tuned for pics!

I am mixing up paints and trying out my colour schemes to see which i prefer and deciding on graphics layout ,which in turn will dictate weather i air brush them in or just use a base colour and get stickers made up . The later does allow for an easier fix if i have a scrape and if i sell it on the stickers can be easily removed ,hhhhmm decisions decisions .

Since my brother's Tmax 530 was REGISTERED yesterday, today we "De-CRAPPED" it. Changed the ugly North American winkers to clear Euro, chopped-down the rear fender, threw away all those garbage reflectors, and installed super -bright Sylvania Silverstar Ultra H-11 bulbs in the headlamps.

OMG is it easier to work on that a 500!!! You can change a headlamp bulb in 30 seconds. I timed how long the second one took me. 30 seconds. Wow! Took 2 HOURS on my 500, had to pull off the windscreen and front panels to reposition the wiring bundle which some factory idiot had zip-tied directly across the back of the headlamp bulb aperture...

I WANT A 530!!!

michaelphillips wrote: its basically the small bulbs were changed over, all the warning light bulbs as they dont last that long, with pre wired 12v led bulbs, so cut out the wiring and heat shrink the new bulb wires in to the wiring, its all put back together now, i got the 12v pre wired bled`s from china, i bought 24 for about £2 delivered, saves having to use the led holders etc , nice and easy, you can get them from here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10X-5mm-White ... 19e98b4bf7" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
All right, it should look nicer too.
