PS: i don't no what they are like on the Wing but they could be 6 or 7 inchs long "

Thanks Kayz 1 that would be an ideal solution, I will check tomorrow. :D

I put a new back tyre on my Silverwing. Actually it was a couple of days ago.
Fitted a Michelin City Grip. Interesting to see how it wears. The original IRC managed just a gnats nodger under 14,000 miles which I thought was pretty good.
I wasn't sure whether to get a balancing gizmo or not. I tried it without and, so far, I've not felt any vibrations. I took it up to 70-80 mph and it seemed ok. I never go faster than that anyway.

Luckily the day was quite warm so the tyre wasn't too bad to get on. They can be bastards when it's freezing cold :D

I could only ever dream of getting 14k out of a tire regardless of machine or tyre brand

I guess that's why I get called Captain Slow quite a bit
I'm not particularly slow but I think my right hand has a gentle mind of its own!

I got 16,000 out of the back tyre on my Deauville so maybe I'm getting quicker in my old age (though I doubt it).

Over the past couple of days I have put in the Brisk plug - thanks Michael thumb.gif
Removed and cleaned the front calipers an replaced the pads with EBC Organics...
Don't really rate the Nissins on the 400 compared to what was on the 250... bit 'big block' - MZ or some such style - loads of caliper piston exposed even when pads are new and a chunky bracket - rather than the sleeker bracket and caliper - Brembo I think on the 250...

Oh and a Major Service on the Washing Machine - Error Code 14 - Heater - so New element and thermistor - bit like a reg / rec I 'spose...
So saved a few quid there... Only for the postman to arrive with a letter to inform me that a camera saw me exceed 50 (59!) on the M25/Daftford Approach 'tother day... £100 save - £100 out - plus the 3 points - Oh Arse!
Off to Brands with the family and a picnic for a gander at BSB tomorrow...

tick over / idle seems more regular, smoother... like its doing 100 or 200 more revs but isn't according to the tacho...

Strange - Deceleration... - seems to have more engine braking... and it ain't the new pads binding...
