I also found that with the Denso Iridiums I have at the moment, also the engine runs hotter...

The Brisks are going in tomorrow and a new set of front and rear EBC organics followed by a test ride

Strange - Deceleration... - seems to have more engine braking... and it ain't the new pads binding...

i have always noticed that, although minimum fuel being fed in, it will be burnt 100% efficiently so seems engine goes in to tickover mode quicker, the variator rollers drop quicker and then the belt is relaxed quicker on the rear pulley. so the engine braking will save you your pad wear

OK spark plugs all done and tested... 30 minutes to swap them out and a 80 minute test run on twisties and fast straights slightly hampered by Easter traffic.

Comparing Denso Iridiums to the Brisk LGS, the engine braking has reduced which led to me almost being caught out by it, feels like there is a fraction more oommphh, tick over is more consistant, only time will tell if the mpg has been improved.

Went out for a solo ride today went from my house near dover, Kent to the isle of sheppey, once there i pulled up in a car park and parked by other bikes already there so i could go to the toilet. I then noticed that the other bikers were some biker gang all appeared to me to be big butch lesbians. I then heard them all start remarking how they all had bikes and i am on a hair dryer. This sort of thing really gets my goat up, for one there were about 6 other bikes there on l plates, the other my bike is a x9 which is quite happy cruising along at 68 and i can achieve 75 on it, seeing as it,s a standard 125 not bad at all and probably a lot faster and more comfortable then those other 125's there. My scooter is still a bike it,s an automatic bike with gears that,s all. Sorry about the rant but a lot of other bikers are just so bloody ignorant because we ride a automatic comfortable bike!!!!

Rode it round the back lanes to experiment with different rear shock settings, fiddled with the carb, sat on the pillion seat whilst drinking a cup of tea and stood looking at it trying to think of an appropriate name.....perhaps ill name it after the mother in law due to its interesting looks

This sort of thing really gets my goat up

It's because they are insecure, they'll say stuff to boost their flagging self image.

Take an interest in their bikes if you want to get them onside, their comments are a sign of interest in your scooter - believe it or not. If they weren't interested they wouldn't bother saying anything.

BTW (most) Scooters are designed and ridden by Italians in a big way, hardly the least stylish country in the world is it? Would they refuse to wear italian clothes? I think not. Next time someone comments just agree, and tell them that they are right - the Italians know nothing of style or design.
