and it's funnier that way too. What amazes me is how do you find the image you're looking for in the first place? surely there should be an online repository that stores these witty responses. I notice this kind of image-responses on HUKD all the time and it's a great laugh (HUKD - Hot Uk Deals site)

My idea of a "knobber" would be somebody who's first priority when riding a bike is what they look like.

Just thought I would have a say, I know this will not apply to all but if the cap fits, it’s just my opinion.

Tipping point.

At one time drivers would look for other vehicles to avoid; now they look for lights to avoid – I think Volvo set the trend with daytime lights, running lights, dim-dip etc, now lots of vehicles have them, drivers get used to them and lower their standard of awareness, they just look for lights.
Will this not be the same with day-glo clothes?

So what will come after these, maybe have to fasten on a mast with a small flag on it. Like we did in the old days with a whip aerial and a tiger tail on it from Esso, sorry I digress.

As I said these are just my thoughts

good point meldrew and I think "common sense", should come into everyones thoughts on what to wear, and when. I personally wear protective clothing always when riding, 30 years ago, I could have been seen out in jeans and a tee-shirt on my bike, but as we get older we see the "big picture ", and wise up.
I personally only wear a dayglo when I am doing big miles, or when the weather/road conditions are poor enough to make me want to be seen as much as possible by other road users. Maybe Im wrong, and should wear one all the time.
The other reason for wanting to be seen, and wearing as much protection as possible is, over the years Ive lost too many friends in biking accidents, and these devastating accidents, up the anti, when it comes to self preservation.
Another strong point I will mention, is our own Stuart Miller, ( TRAUTS), was killed on his bike, one year ago ,this week, and I never saw him wear anything but dayglo jacket and pants
