Can't put my feet forward on the J300, what a waste of a potentially decent scooter.

Lack of feet forward is a complete non-issue for me, but the kph speedo is a total deal breaker.

Well here's how I narrowed the list down to the J300. Granted, I don't expect everyone to agree, but then not everyone will always make the right choice in life. My starting point was not too big, not less than 250cc and not too much more than £4k.

- X10 too ugly, too big.
- Forza not a step through, stupid screen. Bland looks, hate the bare handlebars.
- Satelis 400 not on sale yet.
- Any Yamaha: What. How much?
- Sh300, Beverly: No storage, too upright. Don't like the style.
- Kymco and Sym have no ABS

Err, that leaves the J300 then. Speedo mph reading is fine. Foot position is fixed but comfortable. Nice engine, comfy but sport ride.

Yes, it is based on the Kymco but if you look carefully they have made a lot of changes. To me, it is like the Vectra and the Saab 9-3: both basically the same underneath, but very different cars. And I have a Saab 9-3. Actually, it is my third.

The scuff marks on the side aren't good. I may get some clear sticky-back plastic for mine.

A neat summary
I thought the white X10 looked ungainly and a mish-mash of colours but the midnight blue one looked quite different. It is a big beast though.
Also the SYM now comes with ABS - the issues I have are with the shortage of support for the brand.
The higher screen for the Forza is nice, the stupid sports screen has I suspect lost them many sales though. Not sure about the step-through comment ?!
Yamahas appear very expensive yes - was NOT impressed by quality of the plastics either, noticeably awful IMO.

If you are ok with the foot position (ex motorcycle owners may never notice!) it looked like a great machine, I was quite tempted before the foot thing.

had them on for a year and good heel guards without being too big, but he got none left at the moment.

had these over a year and are comfy and soft and lovly and warm in winter and easy wear in the summer, they only got size 5 and 11 left though

found some gel dots you find out were your heels generally go , so you only need to place there

A quick perusal of Howmanyleft shows that the Forza is easily the top selling 300 maxi.
160 registered from when they went on sale in late August till the end of September.
