Believe it or NOT, the new Bridgestone SC's are the end result of a Tmaxer on the Spanish forum putting a Bridgestone BURGMAN 650 front tire with a Bridgestone Tmax 500 rear. The Burgman and Tmax used the SAME nominal size, but the two tires had two different profiles, the Burgman one being rounder and a bit wider. They all gave him loads of CRAP about it...until all that weird front triangular tire wear you get with the stock Tmax Bridgestones NEVER SHOWED UP! Furthermore, it handled MUCH better. Within a YEAR, it was THE go-to set-up for the Spanish riders, and eventually most of the Italian ones caught on.

Bridgestone now supplies the EXACT SAME front tire for the Burgman 650 and Tmax 500/530. The POWER of The FORUM! 8-)

Finally got round to my oil and filter change. Also did the air filter. Then on to a quick run out to Smc Sheffield, back home to check oil a little low so topped up. Before it rains again gave it a wash then put away.

Nipped on 70 mile trundle to check out Naburn Lock Caravan Site, Looks great so booked in for a couple of days next weekend. I got back and gave the scooter a clean, not a deep clean but better than a 'once over' recoated in ACF 50, squirted a bit of Wilko Maintenance spray around. I then polished her and gave the black plastics a bit of treatment. I then altered the suspension setting, slackened it off a bit in an attempt to make for a more comfy ride, this has worked so I'm pleased. Brimmed the tank and worked out that the last take has given me 71 MPG so no complaints.

How much did you pay and where did you get it from?
Is there a darker one available?

Added some sticky foam pads to where the hinged plastic panel covers the fuel cap, it rattles at low speed and annoyed me so much.

I know the standard fix/upgrade for the Silverwing's screen is a Givi Airflow but I like the look of the Honda screen and also have hand guards fitted which won't clear the Givi screen. Sitting tall in the saddle the standard screen directs the wind blast directly into my face and the noise is intrusive. Whilst looking for a solution I came across the wunderlich wind deflector as used on BMW bikes which got good reports. It is not cheap at £85 but the wind blast was putting me off riding so I decided to buy one and fitted it last weekend. Have just got back from a 400 mile round trip and it works for me, wind blast has disappeared I can ride at 55 mph with my visor up (not that I would make a habit of this) and wind noise is reduced. The deflector is adjustable and I haven't tried all the permutations yet so it maybe possible to further improve the airflow but I am happy with the results so far. I was sceptical beforehand as I have read that the success of these add ons is debatable and the crucial factor is the distance between the riders helmet and the top lip of the screen and fitting an extension to the top of the screen does not alter that crucial measurement. However whatever the science it has transformed my ride.

Been outside sanding my scoot down and repairing deep gouges and cracks in my fairings after some idiot knocked my bike over at work.
