I just read over on Burgman USA that new Burgers have been announced for 2013 thumb.gif

I have my fingers crossed that they don't follow the current trend of putting motorcycle (yes GN2, we know) rear ends onto Maxi's.
I like my big arsed burger because it swallows 72 litres of storage under the seat and still has room in the front cubby hole, no top boxes or rucksacks required.

For me, the arses on the new BMW and Honda offerings are just too fashionably skinny, too heavy, and the engines are too big. I want my junk in the trunk where it belongs. I don't want an automatic bike, I want a scooter, 300-400 cc with an armchair of a seat that is light and nimble around town but can still hold its own on the motorway or the odd tour, sensible MPG and doesn't break the bank to buy.

I've seen elsewhere announcements of a complete redesign for the Burgers, but there are no hints whatsoever as to what they will do. I wonder if its significant that they are going to redo the whole range simultaneously? Currently, apart from some styling hints, there are no common features between all the various Burgers at all, so I wonder if Suzuki might be thinking along the lines of more common parts or a shared chassis or something.

Just speculating without the bother of having any facts to go on!!!!

They'd have to do something quite bold to tempt my thoughts away from the new bmw 650gt. Not that I can afford either of them.

the Burgman 650 is well overdue an update, even if it's just a restyle.

Quite agree, a curvy rounded rear is better.
