Decided to join this forum after finding out that a good friend of mine is a member here.

I currently ride a Jonway 150cc with 22,400+ miles and am seriously looking to upgrade to something larger. Not sure how much larger yet so I figured I would join this forum and get some information before I make a new purchase. Looking forward to learning from you folks "across the pond".

The Brits are fine. Well except the welsh (don't lend them your sheep), Scottish food is a bit odd/fatty, and they speak funny north of Watford and SW of Bristol - but the best of them seem to have collected here

Welcome! Whereabouts in NC? I spent quite a while in the RTP area a few years back, and have visited most of NC at one time or another (my first ever flying lesson was at Kitty Hawk!). Lovely part of the world, friendly people and huge amounts of unhealthy but delicious food

The biggest problem that I've found, being a Yank in the land of the Brit scooterists, is that they have so many more choices than we have. We never see 90% of the models mentioned here. It's frustrating.

I live in western NC. About 45 miles NW of Charlotte. Yes the people are friendly and the food is great. Not everything is breaded and fried, but most of it is.

Speaking of such....have you ever had fried dill pickles? My God they're good.

In this country WE are the ones who are accused of speaking funny. Lots of Scottish influence in this area, especially in the more mountainous parts. We have annual Scottish games at Grandfather Mountain every year along with the local "Loch Norman" games. I believe my family hales from Wales back in the 1500's .....don't have much of an inclination for sheep though.
