Im trying to make up my mind over a selection of scooters and would appreciate your thoughts & feedback. I will be riding year round so I want good build quality and reliability. I have chosen the following based on my budget of 2k. I have selected the bigger capacity scoots for no other reason than I like the extra power and I have full bike license. I am also a little biased towards the xmax.
Yamaha XMax 125 or 250
Honda S Wing
Honda SH125 or 300
Many thanks

I would say any of those, just down to your preferance. Be advised that spares for the Yamaha can be astonishingly expensive though. For my money my head says the S Wing, as it has good weather protection. The Xmax you mention, Im guessing thats the older model which is a bit ugly and some reports mention a harsh ride.

Thanks Barry yes it would be the older Xmax I guess 2008/09 vintage. I do like the S wing it looks like a bike with some presence. I had not really thought about the Burgmann looking at your sig.
Also what are the later Yam Majesty`s like from 2004 onwards ?

As said they're all likely to prove reliable and capable. provided they've been treated well and had necessary service(s).
The problem is narrowing the selection down, you have maxi and non-maxi, big wheel & not-so big wheel. Ideally you should sit/ride a few and this should then focus you down to a final 1 or 2, based on personal ergonomics and riding preference.
Then you can pick based on finding one of the whittled down list at the right price & condition.

The snag with the SH is limited storage, and lack of wind protection - not nearly as comfortable as the Xmax and S-wing.

I personally would go for the Xmax as it seems to be the best all round scoot.

Haven't had any of them but from what I've seen around and on this forum I think I'd go for the Swing.

Can I just throw in a vote for the SYM range? Well worth considering in my opinion. I rode my GTS EVO 125 right through last winter and it performed well (apart from when I broke the drive belt!)
For example this
