Hi there , has anyone ridden or bought a T Max 530 yet? I am thinking of selling my 59 Mk 3 and getting the 530. Had a look at one and love it. No test rides available , but I'm sure it will ride well, anyone gone frmn Mk 3 to Mk 4 yet , and if so what do you think?
I'm also thinking BMW C600 sport but that's not out yet and looks like a MK 3 copy if slightly bigger . I love T Max's and have had a Mk 1 2 MK 2's and now the Mk 3 which I've had for 3 years, Any replies gratefully received ,as I need to make my mind up on a deal Soon , as I have a bike reserved

Re: New T Max 530 anyone Got/ridden one?
I think from other posts, the 530 is not available for demo probably due to it's cost and small potential sales in the UK. To my recent recall I think no one on here has bought one yet? but someone mentioned they seen a sold sticker on one last week.

No demo = no salebornagainbiker wrote:I think from other posts, the 530 is not available for demo probably due to it's cost and small potential sales in the UK. To my recent recall I think no one on here has bought one yet? but someone mentioned they seen a sold sticker on one last week.

Expecting you to cough up that much dough without trying is a bit mental. You'd think there'd be one somewhere to test out.

Just checked the Yamaha website for demos available and they do not even list the new TMax 530.

Don't believe anybody would consider buying a new unproven scoot without
having a test ride. If you want a bit of advice go and cancel your order leave
them your telephone number and tell them to give you a ring when they
get there act in gear.

Found a nice vid of a 530 vs aprilia srv850

Doesnt seem much in it over a short distance, so maybe the 530 does have more low down pull ?
And the japs are already customising theirs

Cheers guys , I know a test ride would nail it , they are few and far between , and the next availability is August . Those video's look cool , I just wonder if the C600 sport will be even better?

It's hardly unproven though is it? It's just an update of a present model, just like the Aprilia 850 is an update of the GP800.chippie wrote:Don't believe anybody would consider buying a new unproven scoot without

In fact I did this last year, buying a W800 without having ridden one. I had, however, ridden a W650 about 10 years previously.

On another note, I know that Haslemere Motorcycles in Hampshire always used to have a Mk3 T Max and Burgman 650 demo models. No idea if they have a 530 demo but it might be worth asking.

The rider in front hasn't even got his left hand on the bars or looking where he's going and to me he looks like he's either playing with himself, zipping his flies up, texting or reading a text, so maybe he wasn't even trying too hard?R1K SU wrote:Found a nice vid of a 530 vs aprilia srv850

There isnt the same urgency or need to change gears as on a bike, so he could be going full speed, I often accelerate one handed ( whilst playing with myself ).
And they could be kids that dont know better, thats prob a better answer
