I'm sure I read somewhere on a scooter forum that indicator buzzers were a MOT fail, can anyone shine any light on this? I don't want all the 'mine passes with one on' replies I just need the answer to the query please. I think it was something to do with the blind crossing the road or do you think someone was taking the piss? :D

Earl,
Consider your urine to have been well and truly extracted.

If MOT fail this company wouldn't be able to sell many

I can't remember where I've seen it now, it wasn't aimed at me it was a post I'd read.

I've got a set too, but reluctant to fit them cos of the noise they make, might get complaints off the neighbours, bleeping late at night as I turn into the street

hang on a min, years and years ago (the seventies), I seem to remember beeping indicators on bikes , were in fact banned, or an mot fail, as for the reason pointed out by earl, that blind people could mistake the noise for a pelican crossing beep, and walk into the road. Not a piss take, I really do remember this.(although most of the seventies were a blur). :geek:

M&P sell them in the UK (http://www.mandp.co.uk/products/list/Bo ... or-Buzzers) so I'd say they were OK.
What's to stop blind people crossing the road near a reversing wagon? The sounds from an indicator buzzer or reversing wagon are different from a pelican crossing.
