Just sold my first MaxSym. I will of course take it on a short test ride before handing over to its new owner.
Report to follow....

Seriously I quite like the X10...

I like the new maxsym, and a few other scoots in the Sym range, but I must say Ive seen a few "nearly new" sym's on the road, and they all seem to have the same trait, a rusty exhaust! At a local scooter open day last week , there was a new lambretta, or symbretta, lovely looking imo, under 600 miles, rusty exhaust!

Are you sure that wasn't a deliberate part of the retro look?
But back on-topic: surely the Maxsym will undercut the X10 hugely on price, so I am guessing that there will still be a market for them.

They all suffer from that Italian virus Piaggiorustious!

Don't think so, I believe there's not much in it at all.
Midland Scooter Centre has the X10 350 at
£5089 and I've seen the the Maxsym advertised at £4999

Yep, £4999 for the X10, guess MSC have included their OTR charge

I bet that 350 engine is a peach.... both look very capable. Some footage on Youtube of the Max carving through some twisties and CD Scooters have some impressive film of a Bev 350....

I'd admit SYM exhausts are pretty poor. But i've seen Peugeots and a Piaggio Zip less than a year old with rusty exhausts as
well! Problem is steel exhausts and British weather/salty air (& roads) don't go well toegther!
