Riding home on the M25 at about 5pm (thur) yesterday I've never been so buffeted by the side winds. felt like I was going to take off a few times and was only doing a max of about 60. Daren't risk going much faster! I'm guessing that a heavier bike wouldn't get so affected. I'll put it all down to experience, like I'm not bothered by rain and wet roads anymore like I was when I first started riding in the wet, although when I came across some flooding on the way in, I chose to change route rather than ride though a foot of water. I can't imagine what sort of weather you guys who live up North have to put up with but I bet it's worse than in the South.

I crawled back from my dealer in Ostend yesterday at about 50MPH - the gale-force wind was at 90º to the motorway.
My sympathies with anyone who has to ride in such conditions.

A1M seems to always be a nightmare for crosswinds. Yesterday I had a definite lean to the left just to keep in a straight line. Stay safe out there folks.

I 'm just back from a ride over the Yorkshire Moors, ye gods it was windy, on unfamiliar roads with, what looked like, a mile drop to the valley floor on single track roads. Bloody Great!!!

I had to cross the Stainmore pass on the A66 - very windy on the Cumbrian side. Fortunately I was in the Car as even that was being blown around a bit!

Wind has broken my car door when at Walton on the naze pier today. Nothing major but will get sorted at next service. talking of which need to think of dates for the pie and mash run.

my worst ever was riding over the old severn crossing into wales.... it were proper blowing.... i had 2 feet down and tried to ride on the sheltered side of a juggernaut..... was NOT fun at all..... i can handle riding in dodgy conditions ok....its the fuckwit motorist 2 inches from ones bum that is un-nerving..

I hate ignorant car drivers at those delicate times, heavy rain, wind, snow, potential for ice, when its dark, when its foggy... always up my arse... yet sunny clear days they stay away go figure (not so much now with the TMax)

Back in 2010 when it was snowing bad: had a white van man overtake me, snow over ICE everywhere, and had the nerve to toot me Next roundabout was a multicar pile up, and I went past the past the bastard (both feet down at 3 mph) and gave him a toot back had to push it two miles too that day. Bloody gritters got it so wrong...
