TMAX Disaster averted

It all started with a routine oil change and the desire to take Max out for a nice autumn run. Old oil out, new oil in...oops I'm a pint short, look around shed, there's a new pack of Castrol Magnatec,(for the cage), little voice in head says 'didn't you read some where on the illustrious Muppets about stuffing up the clutch?' Desire to go out and play overcame caution, in went the pint and off I went. Great run 300km around the Coromandel loop, lots of swoopy stuff. Home again, no worries. Couple of days later and Max wouldn't make it up my driveway. 6000rpm and 5kph! Bugga Bugga etc! $$ signs flash large and self flagellation was on the cards. But wait, I have a can of Amsoil Engine Flush some where in the dusty corners...worth a go, nowt to lose. Out with 700ml hot oil and back in with drain plug, without too much coating the hands (ouch!), top-up with the AEF and leave engine running for 15mins. New Yamalube 10-40 and filter, and a shaky feeling of anticipation as helmet on and off up the drive. Better? quite a bit but still some slip noted Hmmm. What's my next move. Phone goes..as it does(!) and my retired mate Terry says "y'goin for a run." I reckon I'll give it a go . Well, within 60kms, I'm pleased...read... highly chuffed to say Max is back to pulling like a 16yr old schoolboy. Lesson learned...listen to little Muppett voices.
Hope this serves as a reminder to others with wet clutchs. Bikes of course.
By the way, I think it was TMax9 who posted the bit about the stuffed clutch, but I couldn't find any mention of it.
