Why dont you take a litre of petrol in a container and ride the scooter till it runs out, noting mileage at start and finish. Did this with maxsym and got 220 miles per tank!coopsleeds wrote:How far you looking at on a full tank then guys at say 60 to the gallon ?

I get around 76-78mpg during my running around. On a proper long run if I stick to 65mph I can get over 81-82mpg easy. Mine is a 2012 400 abs model. I normally look for fuel at around the 175 mile mark. I've still got ample in the tank and can go over 210miles on a full tank with ease and still have some left in there. So ultimately, I don't know what the bike will do to the tank in the real world. I don't want to run out so I've stopped short of testing that!coopsleeds wrote:just a rough idea pls ?

What sort of speeds are you doing to achieve such high mpg Data? I can't get above 70mpg even cruising at about 60mph?

I sort of meant when riding about, generally pottering? Mines about 58-60mpg just using local roads. I'm amazed at Datas figures

I fill mine at 160 ish and have never run out. There! I said it! I'd better carry a fuel can for a bit now!

I've been checking the fuel consumption on my burgman 400 and I can't manage the sort of figures that others seem to get.
My trip computer typically shows 15 miles per liter and a real life test showed 173 miles on 11.52 liters so that's around 68 mpg I think.
Mind you, I do have a big screen and a big top box.
