Hello and help

Hi

I'm new to this forum and for the last 10 years having been happily riding my Yamaha Tmax. The bike is now suffering from a charging problem and my choice is between a faulty voltage regulator or the generator. Can anybody give me advice on what readings I would expect to get with a multimeter?

Thanks in advance
Dave

Sorry your having probs , if its 10 years old maybe the best plan would be to try to temp fix it and sell it, time for a newer model.
I think i saw a post a cpl of days ago about another tmax not charging, try clicking active topics at top of page.
Why do people say hi and welcome....when you ask for advice ?

I see that post was yours and its had good response. Lol

I'll have to keep it a while longer due to lack of funds. The only other scooter I fancy is a new Tmax!!! Yamaha have put pay to that with their pricing.

My Tmax has around 25000 miles on it with most of them in the first two years on my regular commute to west London. Since being relocated to the North West my mileage is now only for fun.

Regards
Dave

Just that I have asked (pm ) 2 people on here if they wanna go out to bike meets, maybe st annes and knott end, they both said no.
Are you near them? would like some company,as we are the only scoots that seem to go, lol
