Nexus is going to its new owner tomorrow 26th, so will be going for one last ride on it all 4.5 hours and 254 miles. Apparently the Olympic torch will be in Aberystwyth that day and weather is looking wonderful.
Will be getting the train back... another 4 hours or so.
Just thought I'd mention it

I quite liked the idea of one last jaunt on it, all offers I was getting on it were for £15-1600, this guy was willing to pay £1700 so I came back eventually with £1700 and you pick it up or £1800 and I drop it off. £30 for the train, about £25 for fuel and I get a fun day out!

Well got as far as the St Albans exit on the M25, thanks to two cars driving like cnuts I had to slam on the anchors which resulted in a sheared bolt on my rear calliper which then knocked off paint on the rear wheel.
Nexus is back at home awaiting my tender loving touch

Why did the bolt shear though?
Slamming on the anchors shouldn't cause such things to happen, so was the bolt not the original tensile item?

I replaced the bolts with new high tensile ones beginning of last year as the old ones were looking tired, I thought to put in A2 stainless steel ones in but on your advice, I think it was, I went with high tensile. I am sure they were done up reasonably tight and not over tightened... I can only guess it was a manufacturing fault.
