Honda Lead air filter removal.

Honda Lead air filter removal.

Could anybody help I cannot see how to remove the top screws from the filter cover which are hidden under the panel. To remove the panel means taking several over lapping panels off. “BIG JOB”.

As the engine assembly forms part of the swinging arm is it possible to unlatch something which will let the arm swing lower & expose the screws?

Sorry Geoff, I can't help with your query. However, hello and welcome to icon_muppets.png

PS. You may get some flack for asking a technical question without introducing yourself first (It's tradition... Wrath of the Muppets etc.).

There looks like 2 bolts holding air box on to engine if underseat bit comes out you may be able to disconnect from carb and take whole thing out other than that its side panel off .Cant be that hard as its a service item

Sorry lads with & a furkin big apology to “johnp”. I’m afraid that I stupidly didn’t understand the forum.
About me;-
Retired, Age 68, been motor biking all my life, only ever owned 1 scooter but hired plenty of 50’s whilst on holiday in the Greek islands. I recently went for a ride with Bamber Bridge Scooter Club met some great guys & am considering “small wheels”.
I thought that I would give up biking when I was 59 but after 2 years I found that do without one because it’s in my blood, so I bought a super little placcy bomber but found it a bit slow so went onto Innovas now I have a Suzuki Address.
Nice to hear for Richie…….That lad gets around. And wossa, Morecambe is my favourite place may have a ride there today with John from Knott End (cubchat board).
I think that I may have solved the problem I’ve been advised to:-
“Undo the two footrest lumps on the foot-board, and the three? Bolts (12mm head) under the seat and the whole seat and rear plastic hinge from the back lifting up to completely the clear the engine EASY !!”
by Dave from C90Club form.
