Stared at this for ages and couldn't see any difference at first as I was looking at the rack and not the light!
Definitely looks better.
I think all light lenses should be all over coloured whatever colour they are supposed to light up, I dislike this modern trend for 'Lexus' inspired clear lenses showing all the inner reflector shape with coloured bulbs or caps, after all the whole lamp is part of the sculpted panel shape and should hide the ugly innards.

Lose the flag though!

Me too, I hate these modern big chrome surrounds with a feeble orange glow in it, in bright conditions you often can't tell if they're on or not until they're very close.
Invisible indicators or as I call them invisicators.

Personally, I liked the original.
But then, I'd also prefer those stupid indicators to be round or oval too. Far more Sixties, maaaan.

Looks like the stylist drew the image, then the engineers went to put it on, noticed it didn't fit and some Italian with a pending lunchbreak decided - "...oh, just cut the bloody corners off..."
No door is closed to an open mind.
Except a closed door, which a mind can't open, but even a stupid hand can.
