Been laid up for a few days with an infection so out come the bike/scooter mags and to cut a long story short, managed to convince myself something new, bright and shiny was the order of the day. So of we trot to the local dealer who has lots of new, bright and shiny things to tempt me even more. Tried a couple of things and whilst being very impressed with certain aspects everything shouted "short term infatuation" at me. Rode home on my wonderful, comfortable, economical and totally usable Burgman. Removed helmet, looked in hall mirror, said "stupid boy" to the idiot looking back at me, went and had a beer.
Geoff.

I think we've all done that.
I did it yesterday when I had a ride to CMC in Clay Cross.
Lots of expensive bikes and scooters. I walked round for 20 mins but decided a new steed wouldn't be sensible with the amount of miles I ride.
I then tried on a few expensive helmets as I always do then left the shop empty handed as usual!

You always think the bike you have is the best one yet ! until you try something bigger/newer/better, then you realise you were riding a crap pile of nuts n bolts all that time and didnt know it.
BUT...if you dont try anything else.....you wont know, so your bike will still be the best
