Am I right in saying that the Supercub is now classed as a moped too, when it never was forty years ago? Is it now governed to 30mph?

Only the C50 is a moped, the C70 and C90 are motorcycles.
Any 50cc machines registered before the legislation changed are still allowed to exceed 30mph.
