Anyone got any tyre comments for a T Max?

I use the bike daily throughout the year and found that the original tyres flat spotted through the winter months not too bad now I'm chucking it about again, but do I buy a dual compound tyre such as Michelin Power Pure SC or go for something like a MIchelin City Grip which I've heard are good in the rain. Wet roads are the only time I feel a bit twitchy on the bike......

I have always trusted Bridgestones on my scoots and will continue on the TMax as I find them grippy.

I've never felt as good on a scoot in the wet as I do on my Burger with its newly fitted City Grips.

I found the OE Dunlops were not very good in the wet and switched to Bridgestone TH01s for my Mk2. They are relatively expensive, but I don't like to take chances with tyres. Your choice of tyres will also be dictated by the particular model of Tmax you have.

The Michelin City Grip scooter tyre is claimed to be perfectly suited to wet roads - the first tyre of its type to feature Michelin¹s latest Progressive Sipe Technology (PST) to improve safety on wet roads.

Michelin say the design of the tyre's tread cuts through the film of water on wet roads to maintain contact with the road surface. The number of sipes (small slits in the tread blocks) increases towards the shoulder of the tyre so that more of them are in contact with the road as the bike leans in corners, increasing grip and improving safety, even when riding over white lines and manhole covers.

The tread pattern, which gradually changes from slick in the centre of the tread to heavily grooved at the shoulders, is claimed to provide the best compromise between grip and tyre longevity.

I believe that the point of the sipes is that they are not in contact with the road so they provide a channel for the water to escape away from the contact area.

city grip fan here as well

did like bridgestones but found they wore out very quiclkly
