Saw a grey X10 yesterday outside Crescents in Verwood. Was pouring down so didnt look for long but looks very odd in the metal! Seems to sit very very low, like its been squashed a bit. The front is very bulbous, looks a lot different from the photos Ive seen. Overall Id say too many people got involved in its design, the result is somewhat overstyled like all these new cars with random bumps and creases.
Build looked very good, but really not sure yet if I like it. Need to see some more colours and in the dry... well thats next year then!
They had an SRV850 inside.... like that a lot, looks much prettier than the old Gilera version.

Looks like itll be sooner, local Piaggio dealer have opened a new shop and have an X10 in..... and, theyve taken on SYM too.
I guess if youre a dealer, then the longer service intervals on the X10, Bev and LX 3v arent good news. But by taking on SYM that should keep the service dept busy again, until they extendtheir service intervals.

They had the X10 and 350 Beverly in The Foundary, I looked at both and I preferred the Beverly, the X10 underseat storage is not any better than the Beverly. The Beverly is a better DIY bike, ie. getting to the brakes and removing wheels, and would be easier to clean and move around.

Slocombes now have their Bev 350 demo, so subject to weather I'm expecting to have it for Sat 28th July (busy next couple of weekends) and bring it over to the Ace to "share".

I'll be interested in having a look around it, Martyn. My Burgman will be 3 years old next month and it may be a good time to p-ex it when I come back from France. It will have 11000 miles on it by then, and the showrooms will have a plentiful supply of the bikes. I will also have a ride on an Auto NC700 Honda, the Motorcycle Sport and Leisure long term-er, is streets ahead in the fuel economy stakes than any other bike in that class.

Regarding the NC700 I've seen lots of press comment about not achieving the Honda 78mpg, but most owners achieve that and more without too much difficulty.
What's the view from MSL and what mpg have they been achieving, is it a manual or DCT bike?

My local Honda dealer reported this on their Facebook page in January for the NC700X manual, they have just got the Auto version in this week so no doubt they may post more mpg figures for it. My friend Des (and Ginger Phils friend) took both the 700X Manual and Auto versions out back to back and he said the Auto was very impressive especially in Sport mode. I'm waiting for the 700S auto as it has a lower seat height, but they have said a 'bone' lowering kit is available for the 700X at £110.... It's just two bits of longer metal!

89 MPG AVERAGE!
He wasn't caning it, but he went across to Little Salkeld for coffee and pud and wasn't exactly hanging around either.

Martyn MS&L figures were 94.87 MPG economy riding, and 68.13 return journey, 9 staff bikes took part in the ride. My interest is in the NC700S Auto, fitted of course with one of my Givi screens. The dummy tank is big enough for general use and that model has the lowest seat height.

I guess a universal screen and hand guards on an S would do similar for protection, they've also now got some quite neat looking Givi crash bars that might support some extra leg wind protection and additional lighting - if you're that way inclined.
I'll be interested to see if the DCT achieves better mpg, I'm pretty convinced it'll perform better but not sure about economy. On the NC700 forum a high proportion seem unwilling to accept an auto-box and insist on manual control, I'm sure us scooterists are far more wiilling.

Saw an X10 in London last Monday at Motoden up KIngsland Road (in silvery grey......my least favourite colour). Some people will like it and no doubt some people will pour scorn on it, but I thought it looked great, was well finished and felt good to sit on. C D Scooters in Brighton are supposed to be getting a white one in any time, so I look forward to having a ride (and might well buy one!)
