V-belt light

Post by slipperyeel »

Hi Folks

This is my first post outside the "introduce yourself" section (I only signed up last weekend).

Here's hoping someone out there really knows the answer to this one. I changed the V-belt on my Tmax (02 version, now sold) but i never managed to re-set the light. I tried unplugging a couple of plugs for some minutes but these never worked. I found that info on the web but not on forums like this.

Anyone know the answer?!

Thanks

pikey

Thanks Pikey. I tried that or at at least i think thats the plug i unplugged...

Anyone havea photo showing the location of that plug? I kinda liked the idea of telling the guy who bought the max.

Thanks

It's not a plug as such, it looks like a spare connector left dangling. Timing is key to a successful reset.

take a look at my thread here:

I did have some fiddling with it some time ago. Apparently it has to be between 3-12 seconds that you need it plugged off not less not more. There are some pictures in the thread too.
