V-belt light

Hi Folks

This is my first post outside the "introduce yourself" section (I only signed up last weekend).

Here's hoping someone out there really knows the answer to this one. I changed the V-belt on my Tmax (02 version, now sold) but i never managed to re-set the light. I tried unplugging a couple of plugs for some minutes but these never worked. I found that info on the web but not on forums like this.

Anyone know the answer?!

Remove for between 2 and 5 secs then refit to reset belt light plug is near variator

Thanks Pikey. I tried that or at at least i think thats the plug i unplugged...

Anyone havea photo showing the location of that plug? I kinda liked the idea of telling the guy who bought the max.

It's not a plug as such, it looks like a spare connector left dangling. Timing is key to a successful reset.

under the right hand side panel there is a loop conecter this is the re-set cable discontect for a 30 seconds turn off reconect ! yamaha dont show it in the manual as well....?

I did have some fiddling with it some time ago. Apparently it has to be between 3-12 seconds that you need it plugged off not less not more. There are some pictures in the thread too.
