Gilera ST200

Well just put a deposit on this 2008 Gilera ST200 decided to go ahead and buy it and here it is. It has all the books and keys as well as the master. It has 5400mls originally supplied by Philip Youles just had a new rear tyre & service and will have a new MOT when I get it.

Looks surprisingly grown up and sensible! Runners were considered eminently nickable by various nefarious yoof, so make sure you have a good lock - just in case.

I've had a runner 200 for a loan bike a few times and they are great fun

Thanks Yes they definitely had a bit of a rep and yes I have a really thick lock & chain.

Most people I speak to say they are superb little scoots and handle like a little sportsbike. It just looks right and just what I was looking for, sporty but practical

I bought a Runner 200 when they first came out and it was a good bike.

Looks Nice and Tidy... Had a VXR200 Gilly...

2 Things...

I would recomend you get at the Exhaust NOW... Really...
Mine has seized on at the header Bolts, and the down tube rusted thru'
Take the pipe of wire brush and B&Q BBQ paint or VHT from Halfords... and a good coating of coppa slip on the zorst studs and nuts...

The other 'Issue' i had was the rear shocks, so a good clean and squirt of GT85 round the damper road if exposed to keep the shit out and preserve the seals...
