What are the advantages of changing the variator on my 600 Silverwing. Is this something worth changing? Does it lower the revs or raise them for more acceleration? What is the best one to go for and where is the best place to get one?
Sorry about all the questions but if you don't ask you don't know

Most aftermarket variators allow more revs to be used to allow better acceleration, both from rest and in mid range. Obviously it has no real effect at high speeds. The original burgmans were very stodgy off the line, and the Tmax is rather stodgy around 30mph, so these can benefit from a new variator.
An after market variator is supposed to be more efficient, but I suspect the gains aren't huge.
Whether its worth it is up to you! I don't know much about the 'wing. Do you feel that you need better acceleration, or are there any flat spots with the standard setup?
The biggest name is Malossi (there is a Malossi online store), and can be fitted by most skilled mechanics. There are also Malossi tuning places. There are other makers, notably Polini
