First scooter
Believe it or not I have never owned a scooter before so apologies for the question. Im hoping to pick up my Gilera ST200 tomorrow and just wondered about something. Can I assume the left lever is for the back brake and the right lever is the front brake.

Re: First scooter
Yep, you got it.
It'll be a bit unnerving for the first couple of ride outs, until you get used to not pulling in the clutch, but you'll soon get used to it.
After which, you will, probably, never want to go back to a manual ever again...

Absolutely no problem at all, just double up on knee sliders and act like a monkey-boy and I'm sure you'll succeed!macp wrote:SpikeOne wrote: So will I be able to get my knee down

Well, most push bikes....my colleague has some weird race bike with the levers the other way round. When i say that thats a bit odd, it looks as if its me thats weird!R1K SU wrote:Yes, same as a push bike
Re: First scooter
Apparently in the US and A wrong way round brake levers on bicycles are quite common.

Re: First scooter
There are many many things 'wrong way round' in the US of A!

Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!
