Rain suit advice

Looking for rain suit recommendations or models to be avoided.

I need new lightweight waterproofs for warmer weather. My winter weight stuff is still fine, need something for over my mesh suit - 1 piece or 2 piece.
Heine Gerricke had some that looked well thought out.

I always ended up with a wet crutch in a 1 piece...when sitting on the scoot my knees are higher than my waist, and the water pools in ya lap and gets thru the flap and diaganal zip... Prefer a 2 piece and had the Spada 911 / 912 trouser and jacket for about 5+ years with no problems...

And remember the old carrier bag trick when putting ya waterproofs on at the road side... Put ya boot in a carrier bag, then thru ya trouser leg... then put the carrier bag over the other boot...

Slides thru with no snagging, and stops ya wet n mucky boots getting the inside of ya overtrousers wet n mucky on the way thru...which will end up on ya jeans / trousers

It'd be really good tond find waterproof trousers with an expanding gusset in the trouser leg so you can get it on without having to take your boots off. Cos when you need to put your waterproof trousers on its raining, and you don't want to piss about!!!

Finding your knob can also be a problem if you're wearing a rain suit, there's four layers to go through before you can haul it out.

That could be a problem for some of us even if you're not wearing a rain suit.

Of course burgerman would need to cut the bottom off a 2 litre Coke bottle, attach a piece of garden hose, and run it down the inside of his suit...

I have a Weise all in one suit. I couldn't tell you the model but it's exceptional at keeping the rain & wind out it's lined so warm in the winter & surprisingly cool in the summer.

Berghaus deluge trousers is what I use and they are superb, full length zip at the sides with close over studs for easy on and off and no need for the poly bag trick. They are as lite as a feather and can be used on and off the bike if you get what I mean, e.g. hillwalking.

I use golfing waterproofs (Baleno) as they're well made, effective and I like that I can wear them on their own too. It took a while but I managed to buy matching jacket & trousers individually on EBay auctions for around £30, the RRP is way higher.

They are in Administration not receivership (yet), the Administrator is presumably trying to sell them as a going concern, so I'd guess that the shops will probably still be trading. Of course if they all go tits up, then any warranty you have will be useless, but apart from that...
