I bought scooters to use to commute the 16 mile round trip to work and back, when i had my 50cc scoot i didnt ride through winter but i'm looking at doing it this year as i've got more gear to keep the warm in etc. Apart from snow or ice i think i'll be riding i every day.
Do you ride all year round? and am i being a wimp by not riding in the ice? (bugger the snow!!)

I ride all year round. I do the wet but not ice OR snow so call me a wimp. The biggest problem is my fingers. I never found a set of gloves that by themselves kept them warm, so I'm fitting a heated wrap on the grips of my Burger this winter.

Not any more.

Sometimes I sleep at night.

Well, I commute all year on the scoot - ice & snow excepted - and I do use the scoot most weekends.

Yes I do, but only for pleasure not commuting.

I used to when I was younger and my scooter was my only transport but generally I now ride regularly between March and October. Having said that I like to take the scoot out for a ride on dry cold winter days but avoid ice and snow like the plauge !

Been commuting year round for 6 years now.
The frozen digit issue may be addressed in 2 ways:
* Heated Gloves
* Bar Muffs
both work, heated gloves are more of a faf, routing wires plugging in etc.
I use the Tucano Urbano neoprene muffs, around £35 and an excellent piece of kit.
