So I was having a bad day and it got worse...

Post by Funkycowie »

Having had a crap day sorting out family rubbish which meant I couldn't go on the southern ride out.

I rode home from my parents and hit a lump of builders shit (a guess) in the road on a sharp corner, continuing I could hear a rattling noise. As I was only 1 mile from home I just headed there thinking it can't be much as the bike feels fine.

So when I got home to discover this.

3 hours later I fished it out, having to strip down the front of the TMax so I could pop out the headlight bulb and tilt the head light unit backwards, whilst still mostly attached to the upper panels, to let the side light fall out.

I had to laugh though as it was easier to deal with than the family and I, earlier than expected, learnt how to strip down the front of a TMax.

Your right there, my mother will need Psychiatric assistance on and off for the rest of her life due to her medication for Bi-Polar not working any more, the fact she slides towards sucidal and had a very good attempt at committing suicide 2.5 years ago, makes her self ill frequently... all compounded that my Father and Sister are drama queens and can't cope with it very well or even at all... oh and UK doctors have no clue how to help her.

The TMax is easy to deal with in comparison... at least it doesn't threaten to commit suicide and throw hissy fits.

 Lithium. Worked for 20 years, then almost overnight, the body, ignores it. I even raised the question "Have 'they' changed the formula to save 2 pence?" Feel for you Dude.

Funky, mental health is a poor relation in the health service. It gets few resources. You have to fight hard to get doctors to do anything. But there is lots of help out there and the net can be helpful in pointing where to go to get that help. My wife and I have some experience of that side of things when dad became ill. We had a bit of a struggle. But we found out lots and lots. If you want to pick my brain anytime just pm me. Glad you got the scoot fixed...and riding it does, as others have said, lift one's spirit. There's no better medicine in my book. Good luck.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 55 years & owned too many bikes to list here...

Anything where I get alone time to do anything, even if its fixing the scooter instead of riding it, to take care of stress levels is a good thing.

Thank you for the offer of brain picking :D

Lithium... yeah was great for numerous years and now things have all gone to hell. She just goes up and down with no apparent cause that the doctors can find.
