Glad it worked out ok. But question, did you actually have to change your pants?
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 54 years & owned too many bikes to list here...

Sounds to me like you were going too fast...?
Roundabouts are slippery bastards of things best treated with great caution.

Zed: not half but certainly not third either mate :)

Stalker map, here you go: http://goo.gl/maps/SwCA1

Data: Luckily no, as i said i didn't even have time to have any adrenaline rush, let alone poo myself, it all happened in a blink of an eye.

gn2: yep, always mate. Especially when the roads are so empty and dry these days. It's all because of the great handling of the tmax. Makes you wanna push it further and further.

I treat every island the same - a diesel soaked red spot!! I haven't been riding long but had a speedway sliding sideways moment last year because of a lake of diesel, I wasn't expecting it and didn't know what to do so just shit myself and kept on it until it stopped. I'm glad islands are clockwise as I find I corner slower going that way!

Are you left handed by any chance? I find that i go slower on clockwise turns too and i am left handed. I wonder if that's got any relation to how we corner.

One of the good things about rain is it's sometimes easier to spot the rainbow effect of diesel and oil on a straight-ish road! There seems to be a lot of old bangers down here, and they're constantly dripping oil in the middle of the road!
Yesterday it was chucking it down and I ended up directly behind a articulated lorry on the back road out of St Ives.
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=lelant& ... 54.33,,0,0 Note this image was taken over 3 years ago and in spring! It's now a tunnel of trees!

The weight of all that water must've caused some of the younger branches to hang lower because quite a biggish branch was snapped off and dropped down right in front of me! :o
Brown pants indeed!
