It really depends on what you are looking to do with the scooter. Travel 2-up? Lot of motorway?
Are you just looking for better weather protection, more storage, ABS, etc?
Or do you just want more SPEED for the hell of it?

The answer is ALWAYS get a TMax - for me anyway!!! Whatever you want to do with it!

ridin, just get the latest model you can afford. I'd make sure you try to go for at least a k9 if you can as it's almost certainly going to have had the clutch upgraded or will have come with the new clutch from the factory along with the new transmission cooling ducting. A visit to bike trader is a good bet as there are many good ones on there. Some are private sellers and some dealers of course. The Burgman in my very biased opinion is a good choice. It is a much bigger scooter than your GTS300 though. However, that makes it nice and comfy and the extra weight it carries is not a problem. There is still a big performance advantage over your 300 overall. Fuel economy will be about the same or better than your current machine. All just my thoughts of course. Good luck!

I had a GTS 300, loved the style but not the fact that it rotted away in less than 9 months, had a Tmax mark 3 for 1 year now and covered about 9000 miles and I absolutely love it, you never get tired of the feeling of riding it, reasonable fuel economy, scooter practicality and big bike performance. You'd have to go a long way to beat it and for me it beats the S-wings and Burgmans hands down for desirability, and contrary to popular belief there are bargains to be had. I paid £5.5 grand for mine and it was less than 6 months old and had covered 2k. Still had 2.5 years warranty and was barely run in, compared to a rusty piece of italian style shite that cost me over £4 grand and was falling to pieces.
Road presence on a T max is also awesome, high up and cagers treat you like a bike for the most part..
