Been a while since I've been Active here (years in fact)!

when I was last here the place was bustling with members falling over each other,

Maxi's were coming out left right & center,

Now after a day or two of browsing It seems everythings ground to a halt in the industry!

So what in your opinion went wrong? Fuel costs? ressesion? other forums (nahh! ) mix of all?

Crap UK weather

Joking aside the weather in the UK must play a part although having said that just across the water in France scooters are very popular and their weather is not dissimilar to ours.

Recent talk about this subject has suggested the culprit to be facebook, but I think it's cause people just got bored (or boring)

Facebook, too many whinge bags (even phil was biting back towards the end) , people couldn't and at times still can't grasp the muppet philosophy of it being a jokey sight. There's only so many times that you can try to lighten the mood, or bring humour to a topic before people take umbridge, and the fun is no longer there....kinda sad really.

Also do you reckon Bike dealers are struggling at the mo? My local Piaggio/aprillia/vespa place has hardly any scoots in where as before it used to have a good chunk dedicated!

i wouldn't be surprised if they are, but with the prices these days, you'd expect them to struggle. It's an insult to have to pay more for a scooter than a car.
