Re: What a plonker!
loads and loads 50cc scooters are tuned up to 70cc ,and all reg as 50cc which is moped class
a 70cc is classed as a motorbike more insurance and not supposed to be ridden by 16 yrs

Re: What a plonker!
Must admit, I often see 50cc scooters doing far more than the 30 mph that I thought they were governed to!
Always struck me as odd...

What a twit. Police do monitor eBay so he's just asking to be nicked. It all depends on whether they can be bothered.

I only started scootering last year and my first scoot was a Kymco Cobra Racer 50cc, it did 45 with me on it and I'm 14 stone! I wasn't aware they were restricted to 30mph until I came to sell it! I have no idea what was done to it but it was really quick off the mark for a 50cc

Re: What a plonker!
There is a guy who lives round here, on a 50cc crosser type bike, I can tell its been bored out, very loud, way to fast for a 50cc, and he is only 16 or 17, he has the most stupidly bright set of H.I.Ds fitted, i like my lights but, his are stupidly bright, he wizzy up and down my street at 50mph, even tho its 30mph and narrow..........

If he's 17 then it doesn't matter if it's a 50 or not does it?SOLO wrote:There is a guy who lives round here, on a 50cc crosser type bike, I can tell its been bored out, very loud, way to fast for a 50cc, and he is only 16 or 17, he has the most stupidly bright set of H.I.Ds fitted, i like my lights but, his are stupidly bright, he wizzy up and down my street at 50mph, even tho its 30mph and narrow..........

Re: What a plonker!
It will for the insurance, I'd say he's probably insuring it as a standard 50cc
