City grip;transformed my scoot.

Post by lensman »

fitted a set of Michelin city grips to my little bws 125 yammie last week, it has completely transformed the ride.
not sure what the std kenda`s are made of,probably recycled barbie dolls or something but they had no flex at all, absolutely awe-full Tyre.
while i await a set of aftermarket rear shocks from the states i also changed the bars yesterday, put on a set of double wall renthall bars,OMG! no tingling in the hands at all ! completely eliminated vibration.tested them again today on a quick spin out to lowestoft from bungay, yep, hands were tingle free.
cant wait for the shocks.

Good choice of tyres, and yes Kendas are dreadful... had them on a Vespa once, had a job to stay upright in the wet! Seems Yamaha, depsite charging a lot for the BWS equipe it with cheapo items?

I do like the BWS though, its different.

Yep, I nearly dumped my scoot when I fitted City Grips. They were so responsive they surprised me at the first corner. Love 'em.

Plus one. Went from all Avon to all City Grip and can now ride in the rain without fear of slip or slide at the slightest twinge of brake.
