Nolan UK distributor out of business

Post by chrisp »

Following on the theme of Hein G closing down, I've recently discovered that the UK distributor for Nolan helmets has gone out of business.

I bought my flip-front N104 earlier this year from helmetsuperstore and am very happy with it but I guess there are so many cheaper (and more expensive) sexier alternatives available, something had to give.

I was thinking of getting the comms kit for it but the price is shocking so have ordered an 'Interphone F2 City' which should be fine for my needs.

cheers for the Interphone endorsement Meldrew. Mine should arrive tomorrow, just an F2 as I always ride solo.

my other recent purchase is a conversion of the standard halogen headlamp to a Bi-Xenon HiD H4. A guy I know in Liverpool sells them. I was looking around for running lights but decided just upgrading to HiD will probably be enough to 'peel paint'!.

Yep, As seen on Visor Down back in Feb, Phoenix Distribution announced they were to cease distribution for Yoshimura, Nolan, Kappa, X-lite and Pinlock and Arai.

They were owned by a firm called Halstead, something to do with the commercial flooring world and that was where Halstead were going to concentrate their future.

I'm sure Arai will have been picked up by another company but not so sure about the others...

I saw gixxer or similar parked up the other day and whatever bulb he was using had scorched and deformed his headlight lense

I too like my Nolan with the Bluetooth but they have re-jigged everything and the old N-Com doesn't fit into the new helmets. In future I'll buy a Bluetooth that is external to my helmet (I'm now in a Schuberth J1)
