Was looking last night and found this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2012-KYMCO-DO ... 337c848a48

62 reg on 4th September 2012. I made an inquiry and messaged the buyer twice to ask questions and to arrange a viewing.
It was initially up as an auction but the seller was prepared to accept the starting price.
Unknown to me they then changed it to a Buy it Now, imo, so some lucky person has the bargain of the year so far.

That is a bargain for sure. I am only about 15 miles away from the seller, wish I had spotted that last night, you don't see any used Kymco Downtowns.

Just had another look and I find something strange about the sale, it started at £2350, then you contacted him/her and it went to buy now at £2395. Now seen as it was listed on the 30th September and was a 7 day listing, they never gave it enough time to see what it would get. I think they were inundated and that a family member or friend has made the buy it now bid. But then again you can remove your own listing for whatever reason. Doesn't make sense. I think you might just see it re listed.

Just got a reply message back from the seller stating that the dealer is insisting on trading this in so he is going to withdraw the sale? The dealer obviously has a buyer at a good profit?

Compared with the SYM GTS 300 it's got a little more power but a little less load space. Not sure about ergonomics but I have to alter the mirrors, seat and under-seat of my SYM to make it fit me properly.

Anyway the point of my post was that I was looking at a 2nd hand GTS300 and about £2k seemed to be the going rate, the I discovered I could get a brand new one for £3.5k delivered with 0% finance. So the lesson is don't be too struck on 'the one that got away' - you may get a good deal on a brand new one, which will always be better than used ;). In some shops some models sit there unsold, begging for silly offers...
