hello to all the butcher still lives thank the lord, hope you are all well and happy.
just a quick note i have a x10 and what a scooter it is. as some of you know i have about 50000 miles on scooters and i can say that this bike is so far the best they have made, its well put together good looking and the engine is great in town and on the open road so much so that i took her to the bike show in Germany a couple of weeks a go. couple of slight problems the seat leaks when rain gets into the backrest and a wet bottom happens lol and a small problem with the clutch which has been changed. it was making the weights flat so its all been done, i must say i am very happy with her my dn01 is still doing fine well mark two as i sold it and brought one with less miles, had a couple of big ops but the cancer is not moving at the moment thank god and i am felling better but always bloody worn out still thats life, any old people still around say hi plus wheres john tomson theses days ??? respect to all adam

Good to hear you're still with us and enjoying the X10, how was it on the German trip, what speed did you cruise at and any idea of your overall fuel consumption.

JT is still around, but more into cars & boats than bikes these days, he's on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/John.Thompson.Herts

HI THE X10 on a long run is getting 79,9 miles a gallon and around town 67.9 but i ride fast in town top speed is about 97 its happy at about 80 but its a lovely bike i get off and i am not worn out, from the docks in france it was about 4.5 hours easy driving coming home i took it easy stopped in a few places on way,
NOW BAD BITS do not buy the piaggio leg cover its shit by the other make that i can not spell,
the top box matchs the bike but is way over priced givi do a nice one and get a taller screen unless your short and you will be ok.
GOOD BITs there is a free app for the i phone that sits in a dock on the bike ( ASK ME TO EXPILAN)
this app then links to the bikes ecu and tells you when somethings wrong or show a map of where you are speed ect it links to your mobile so its very hgh tech and works,
i had fitted extra lights front and back and heated bars seat horn , the abs is great but better is the traction control in the rain its really saved me a couple of times, 300 miles a tank or more and space for a weeks shopping or five nights on the road back from germany. next year i am driving to the factory having a look then slowly coming home , keep well respect adam

Thanks for posting some info about your bike. Glad you like it. There's not much wrong with any of the new bikes these days. The X10 is no exception I'm sure. Did the 'flattened rollers' lead to vibration?

Anyhoo...keep well and lets please hear more about your machine in the coming months. Nice one! :)

Glad you're getting 80mpg/80mph (near enough), I've concluded that's what I want from my next ride, currently looks like X10 350 or NC700X, but keeping my mind open on new Sym 300 & B400 too.

Hi Butcher, good to see you about again. Glad you're enjoying the X10!

JT is totally out of scooters now, I think you're more likely to see him on a boat forum these days.

well thanks for the lovely comments couple of new things in the stanmore area g l m in edgware are a main piaggio dealer and i have delt with them for a while before i brought the x10, i find the service top notch and the prices not to high, barry the owner knows his stuff and is willing to try that little bit harder, a bit like jt but with less hair, well the clutch went funny on the x10 and barry came picked it up sorted it and i had it back the same day, he sells a hole range of piaggio scooters and so far seems so good his service centre has a very good spanner called dave so give them a try if your in the market or go though me as i talk him down on prices and he is willing to do deals on new bikes,
when do the old team meet up? i stopped going to the ace as i did not like the prices nor how out of control it was getting e.g. thugs in cars and fools trying to kill themselves on friday nights so if you would like to meet up please let me know much respect adam ps if anyone needs a deal on rukka i got a inside on jackets which cost 550 going for 450 or 400 if you smile xx ad ps still fat old and bald

Hi Adam. I've been enjoying my X10 too, but re the screen, did you get a bigger one? If so what and where from?
I haven't been able to find one specific to the X10. The screen on it would probably be ok, if you're 5' tall
