New Maxi Owner!

Post by Cyberdave »

Hey up! New Maxi owner in the making here!
Bought myself a Lexmoto Gladiator 125 in March. I commute around 18 miles into work in Wolverhampton. Gotta say the little Lexmoto has been great!
I also own a 2000 XJ600N Yamaha. Never thought I'd see the day when I'd be saying this but I love my scooter!
However of late I've been getting the urge to ditch the bike and get a 650 Burgman or similar (old age!). Comfortable and big enough for me and the old lady!
Because I still need to be economical on the commute I decided to keep the Bike for a while but sell the Lexmoto and look for something a bit bigger but still fairly frugal.
I decided on a 2009 Xevo 250 I found on Ebay. Not terribly fast but at just short of 80mph it should be more than quick enough for the commute but have enough power for the odd cruise with the wife aboard. Looks comfortable and has a top box fitted too which must be worth around £250 looking at the ads!
I read a few reviews and although the miles are a little high (15K in 3 years) I thought I'd give it a try - at £1500 delivered with a full ticket and a short warranty I figure I'll iron out any kinks in the first week or two!

Anyhow, pleased to meet you all!

Dave

Welcome.

The previous owner wasn't trying hard enough. I have put on 10k miles a year on my identically engined Peugeot Satelis' - the first I sold after 22k miles and and the second I ran to 31k. I'm now on my third. :)

Keep an eye on the fluids and change the oil and filters regularly and you'll be fine for a long time yet.
