Dreams...smashed

I have been eyeing up the SRV850 as a possible next scoot, we went to The Rocket Centre at Blackburn today to look at some new boots for Sue, I knew they had a demo in, so got Sue to sit on the back, whilst I was telling her how mine was getting old and may not last much longer ;) She sat on the back and instantly said NO ! The body work comes out at an angle and digs into the pillions inner calf muscle when you put your feet on the pegs, "I would have a permanent bruise", she said.
How could Aprilia get it so wrong for pillions?
Gutted, lol

I'd ask myself the question, how many times a year does the wife come with me on the back? :D

Because they don't care!!!
Think of the money you've saved....or does it mean that you''ll have to take out a mortgage and visit the BMW dealer???

Mrs jedburgh used to complain that the rear pegs on my Tmax mk3 were too short for the same reason, the fairing dug into her calfs, ok if your whizzing to the shops but we're off to Spain next year! The 530 has addressed the issue allowing a much more comfortable posture for the pillion. It's not the first time manufacturers have gone for style over functionality and it wont be the last. Maybe Italian girls sit side saddle!

Had the same probs with the GP which is the same as the srv. I got around it by telling the wife
it wasn't design for a proper woman but for a 6 foot black haired Italian long legged wet dream
don't know what I'd done but she never spoke to me for a month.

Have them fitted to mine...better for the wife on long trips.

But still not perfect.

I know it has only small storage, so was gonna get a LARGE top box for it, she doesnt go on it that often and am trying to get her to go places on her 12 plate X Max 250, but she says its a waste of petrol using 2 bikes, so I think its her way of saying No, lol
